Where music meets technology
This is the combination that defines Osky DJ. Besides being a DJ, Oscar Hernández is a technology director with more than 15 years of experience building solutions for live events and interactive experiences. This service brings both sides together: the music and the technology around it on stage.
What he uses
His own software. Oscar develops proprietary software for this kind of show.
Commercial software. He also works with:
- Resolume Arena and Magic Music Visuals for visuals;
- vMix for video and live production;
- TouchDesigner for interactive experiences;
- QLab for show control.
Examples of his work
Two tools Oscar has built and released as open source:
- SpinBridge: streams live Resolume Arena output to several holographic fans at once, each with its own content.
- QLab → grandMA2 bridge: fires grandMA2 lighting cues from QLab over the network, no MIDI involved.
What backs it up
In his events work, Oscar:
- integrates audiovisual systems using OSC, Resolume Arena, vMix, TouchDesigner and Magic Music Visuals;
- designs and runs real-time systems for live events: streaming, video and audio;
- has designed recording booths, studios and technical setups.
